🦣 We are the Legendary Woolly Pennants. 🦣
Handcrafted woolfelt pennants, banners, and flags. Made in a basement in West Chester, PA by a one-man rock show named Ryan Brown.
It started in 2021. A friend was going through breast cancer and I wanted to make her something. Three words on a pennant: POSITIVE VIBES ONLY. That was supposed to be it. But people saw it, asked about it, and Woolly turned into a thing. Pieces are flying high all over the country now, and a handful around the world.
Every piece is US-sourced wool felt, hand-trimmed, built to last. Vintage feel on purpose. I'm not into trends or throwaways — I want to make stuff that hangs on a wall for thirty years and gets handed down.
By day I'm a Creative Director. Woolly is where I get to make what I want. The only rule is do cool shit with cool people. That's how the work has ended up with The War on Drugs, Kurt Vile, Peloton, Blobfest, August Burns Red, The Strumbellas, Garage Beer, and a long list I'm lucky to call clients. It's also how I ended up doing election night banners for Governor Shapiro, donating pieces to CHOP, and building a 10-foot wool felt hot dog for a hometown eating contest. All of it counts.
West Chester is the heart of it. Pieces hang in spots all over downtown — Jawn Supply, local shops, favorite hangs — not for sale, just up. The town came first. Everything else grew from there.
Got an idea? Let's talk.
